How do I register online?

When on eMU, click on the Academics tab. Then click on Academic Services, then click on the eMU logo. After that, go to Registration Process under Student Links and follow directions.

Do you accept transfer credits from other institutions?

If the college is accredited, yes, but we will need an official transcript and course description to be sure.

What are the criteria for accepting transfer credits?

Courses taken elsewhere must have a grade of “C” or better and equate with our courses.

Do you accept credits from a Junior College?

Yes.

Could I come to Misericordia for just one course?

Yes, contact the Center for Adult and Continuing Education.

How do I order a transcript?

Your request MUST be in writing, include your name (or maiden name), when you attended, the year you graduated or withdrew, social security number, address where you would like the transcript sent, and a check for $7.00 payable to Misericordia University.

Can I fax my transcript request?

Yes, with your signature and credit card information.

Can my relative or friend pick up my transcript?

Yes, only if a written note signed by the student is presented.

What are your office hours and location?

We are open Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (4 pm during the summer months). We are located on the 1st floor of Mercy Hall.

Can I get my grades over the telephone?

No. Final grades are mailed to your home address or viewed on eMU. Midterm grades can also be viewed on eMU.

If I do not attend graduation how do I get my diploma?

We will mail your diploma to your home only if it is requested by you either by mail or telephone.

Where is graduation held and how many tickets are given?

Commencement is held the week following final exams in the Anderson Sports and Health Center. You will receive between five and six tickets.

Must I apply to graduate?

Yes. A graduation application must be filed in the Registrar’s Office during Spring pre-registration. Forms are available in the Registrar’s Office, Center for Adult and Continuing Education, or can be mailed.

Must I pay the graduation fee if I am not attending and what is covered?

Yes, all students graduating from Misericordia University are required to pay a $150 graduation fee even if not attending. The fee covers all activities surrounding graduation, ex. cap/gown, facilities use, flowers, diploma, etc.
