Each year Misericordia University hosts numerous performances by outstanding national artists and organizations. Events run the gamut from live theater to folk music. Many celebrate diversity and the arts. Most of the events are free of charge.

Jazz in July

Broadway's Patriotic Musical!
A fun-filled, true-to-life production based on the kind of USO show Bob Hope and Jack Benny had taken on tour to the troops in the field in 1942: classic humor, great music such as "Chattanooga Choo-Choo," "Pennsylvania Polka," "I'm In The Mood For Love," "Deep In The Heart Of Texas," and "Thanks For The Memory," from those special days of road shows, war-bond drives, and radio broadcasts!

 **Please note: Due to forecasts for thunderstorms on Monday, July 14, the Jazz in July concert has been moved to the Anderson Center. Those who have purchased lawn seats will be provided with chairs, and attendees are still welcome to bring food and drink.

LONESTAR

Multi-platinum recording group LONESTAR is known for merging their country roots with strong melodies and rich vocals. Amassing RIAA-certified sales in excess of ten million album units since their national launch in 1995, LONESTAR has achieved ten #1 country hits including "No News," "Come Crying To Me," and their crossover smash "Amazed "(#1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the first record since 1983's Islands in the Stream to top both charts). Declaring 2014 the Year of the Fan, LONESTAR celebrates with the 2013 return of their original lead vocalist, Richie McDonald, and their new album, Life As We Know It. The show will be full of audience interaction that will be social media driven and allow fans the unique opportunity to join them on stage!

MU to London and Paris

Travel with the MU Alumni Association for three nights in London and Paris with round-trip transportation to Newark Liberty International Airport. Misericordia - An Evening with TEMPLE GRANDIN

Temple Grandin is a noted animal expert with a doctoral degree in animal science and advocate for autistic populations. She has penned the books Animals in Translation and Animals Make Us Human. As a high-functioning autistic person, she has utilized her hypersensitivity to relate to and articulate to others with autism as well as provide consultation on the humane treatment of animals.
