Ms. Carden currently serves as Program Director for Management in the Business Department. She began teaching at Misericordia University in 1967. Among the courses she currently teaches are International Business, Contemporary Economics, Organizational Behavior and many topics affecting Business.
She holds a BS from Misericordia University, an MA from New York University, and an MBA from the University of Scranton. As a graduate of College Misericordia she feels a special commitment and affinity for the students who attend this fine institution. Ms. Carden and her colleagues in the Business Department at Misericordia University work tirelessly to cultivate an environment whereby their students get the personal attention and assistance they need to have a successful experience that will lead to a fulfilling career.
John L. Kachurick

Dr. Kachurick is the director of the Organizational Management Graduate Program. He earned his Doctorate in Business Administration at Nova University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and his post doctorates in Human Resource Management and Information Technology from the same university. He holds a BA in English from King’s College, and a MBA from Wilkes College, both in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and a MS in Education from Misericordia University.
Dr. Kachurick's interests include the Balance Scorecard and quality management training. He teaches a range of courses in several disciplines including finance, management and information systems.
At Misericordia University, he serves on or has served on the Graduate Council, the Mercy Integration Committee, the Faculty Senate, and the Faculty Development Committee. He has been active in two Middle States Commission accreditations at Misericordia and serves as an assessment team member for the Middle States Commission.
Prior to coming to Misericordia, he worked for nearly 25 years in the newspaper industry holding positions as reporter, copy reader, a sports editor, a city editor, suburban editor and assistant to the publisher for operations. He was among the founders of the Wilkes-Barre Citizens’ Voice.
Dr. Kachurick is the chief principal in Kachurick Associates, a management consulting agency.
