An open house offers adult learners an opportunity to spend some time with academic advisors and learn more about Misericordia University’s program offerings.

Designed specifically for adult learners, the Expressway Program offers students the chance to earn their bachelor’s degree as  part-time students in as little as two-and-a-half years. Expressway classes are held at Lackawanna College in Scranton and LCCC in Nanticoke, with shortened sessions to fit into a busy work and family schedule. All courses are also available online.

Students in the Expressway Program can choose from over 12 majors and programs in business, health care, information technology, applied behavioral sciences, and government, law, and national security. Tuition is $375 per credit, the lowest among four-year colleges in Luzerne and Lackawanna counties.

Founded in 1924 by the Sisters of Mercy, Misericordia University is Luzerne County's oldest four-year college. Misericordia offers 36 degree programs, including graduate and undergraduate degrees in full and part-time formats.
