Meet the Dean

Dr. Nyein
As the newly named Dean of the Center for Adult and Continuing Education, I am proud to recognize the 10th Anniversary of MU’s Expressway program, and to celebrate the stellar efforts of a great staff and faculty whose personalized service has made the program a leader in adult education.
At a time when the economy has created great challenges in the workforce, the opportunities we offer adult students are more important than ever. Pursuing a new degree or career path may be the best investment you can make for yourself and your family.
I hope to use my experience in leading the development and expansion of online and continuing education programs to meet those career needs and academic goals as you juggle career and family obligations. We are working to provide easier access for you by exploring new programs at convenient locations and greatly expanding online classes.
Among our newest initiatives, a new Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography will soon be offered in the Expressway program. We hope to expand both our MBA and RN to BSN programs to include a fully online format, and have reformatted the Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging degree to include an Expressway option.
We strive to ensure that our programs meet the highest academic standard of quality and that your experience at Misericordia is second to none.
I invite you to give us a call, stop in or go online at
