The Biology Department makes it's home in the Hafey-McCormick Science Building. It has four major laboratories, where students experience basic and advanced biology offerings. Laboratories are well equipped with state of the art microscopes, instrumentation, and can be set-up for multi-media presentations. Small Faculty-Student ratios provide personal attention.
Faculty and students are also able to access the Internet and World Wide Web via the campus's network directly from the laboratory and classroom. The building's four lecture rooms and large Tiered Lecture Room provide ample size for scheduled classes and study times. The Department has two specific research rooms devoted to student/faculty research. These rooms contain instrumentation to support student/faculty research in a wide range of areas. Current research activities include Molecular Biology, Exercise Physiology, Genetics, and Biochemistry.
