Waiting for Snow in Havana: Confessions of a Cuban Boy is a 2003 book by Carlos Eire and winner of the National Book Award for Nonfiction. The book is autobiographical,about the author's experiences as part of Operation Peter Pan. The library will have copies of the book available if you would like to read it prior to the presentation. During Hispanic Heritage Month the library will be showcasing books by Latino/a authors. Make sure you check out the display table

Susquehanna to Freedom: The role of the Susquehanna River in the Underground Railroad

This play will transport you back in time and enlighten you with stories of the Underground Railroad and the role the Susquehanna River played in this historical event. Transportation will be provided. Please RSVP at the Multicultural Education office located in the Banks Student Life Center.
