Luzerne County Community College Dual Admission Agreement

Luzerne County Community College (LCCC) and Misericordia University (MU) have entered into a Dual Admission Agreement to facilitate the transfer of LCCC students to MU. Under the Dual Admission Agreement, LCCC students will be guaranteed admission into one of 15 parallel articulated Bachelor’s Degree program with third year (junior) status at MU . To be eligible, students must graduate from LCCC with an Associate Degree with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0. If applying to the Nursing major at Misericordia, LCCC graduates would be required to hold a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.75., and sign the Dual Admission agreement within their first 30 credits at LCC. While both full-time and part-time students in articulated programs are eligible for dual admission, additional scholarship dollars are available to full time students.

LCCC to Misericordia University
AA in Humanities BA Philosophy
AAS Journalism and Media Writing BA Communications
AA in Humanities BA History
AS in Social Science BA in Government, Law and National Security
AS in Social Science Bachelor of Social Work
AS in Social Science BS Applied Behavioral Sciences
AS in Social Science BA History
AS in Business Administration BS in Business Administration
AS in Accounting BS in Accounting
AAS in Human Services BS in Applied Behavioral Sciences
AAS in Criminal Justice BS in Government, Law and National Security
AS Humanities BA English
AS Humanities BS in Psychology
AS in Nursing* BS in Nursing*
Additionally, all LCCC AS degrees are eligible for dual admission to MU’s BS in Professional Studies.
All above stated programs require a minimum grade point average of 2.0, with the exception of the BS in Nursing, which requires a minimum gpa of 2.75
