Department of Business recognizes graduating students|

Misericordia University recently recognized the academic accomplishments of its top business department graduates Renee Barcheski, Tunkhannock, Pa.; Kayla Chappell, Hunlock Creek, Pa.; Christine Garrahan, Lake Winola, Pa., and Rachael Ayers, Monroe Twp., Pa., at the annual Honors and Awards Ceremony in Lemmond Theater in Walsh Hall on campus.
The students graduated May 18 at the 87th annual Commencement ceremony. Barcheski and Chappell each received the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accounting Award for excellence in accounting studies.
Garrahan was presented the Business Administration Faculty Award for academic excellence. It is given to a graduating traditional student majoring in business administration who has demonstrated excellence in academic studies while at MU.
The Department of Business at Misericordia University presented the Mary Ann Thompson Memorial Student Achievement Award to Ayers. It is given to a graduating business administration, accounting or management information systems major for outstanding community service and academic accomplishment as selected by faculty in the business administration department.
