    Admission Requirements

    Speech-Language and Hearing Center

    The Speech-Language and Hearing Center is located in the College of Health Sciences Building and specializes in assessing and treating children and adults with communication disorders.

    Technology

    The Speech-Language Pathology Department at Misericordia University offers a variety of modern technologies in the areas of video observation, augmentative and alternative communication, fluency, voice/speech science, and other areas.

    NSSLHA

    The National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is the student arm of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). All speech-language pathology majors are encouraged to become active members.

    SLP Strategic Plan

    Faculty and staff within the SLP Department established a set of long-term strategic planning goals and objectives.

    The Misericordia Articulator is a student-edited newsletter that provides insight into the SLP program and its faculty and students.
    Summer Exploration Camp

    The Speech-Language Pathology Department hosts a 4-day, 3-night residential Summer Career Exploration Camp for junior high school students who are interested in pursing a career in Speech-Language Pathology.

    Other Credentials

    Most states have licensure laws regulating the professions of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. Students who wish to work in the schools have the option of obtaining their Pennsylvania state certification.
