London and Paris Trip provide by Misericordia University Dallas, PA

Travel with the MU Alumni Association for three nights in London and Paris with round-trip transportation to Newark Liberty International Airport. Tour includes welcome and farewell dinners, cruise on the River Thames, visits to Stonehenge, Bath, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Eiffel Tower and Normandy.

Sunday, Oct. 5: Day 1

Leave Misericordia with bus transportation to Newark Liberty International Airport for an overnight flight

Monday, Oct. 6: Day 2

Arrive at London's Heathrow Airport with a transfer to the hotel

Spend some free time exploring London on your own

Enjoy the lights of London during an illumination tour and welcome dinner aboard a narrated dinner cruise on the Thames River

Tuesday, Oct. 7: Day 3

Start the day with a breakfast buffet

Take a morning tour of London's highlights including Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, St. Paul Cathedral, and London Tower

Stop at the London Eye for a bird's eye view of the city and sip a glass of champagne

Lunch and dinner on your own

Wednesday, Oct. 8: Day 4

Enjoy a breakfast buffet

Tour the English countryside and visit Bath, Stratford-Upon-Avon, and Stonehendge

Lunch on your own

Stonehendge - World Heritage Site, located near Salisbury in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. A highlight of South West England, the true meaning of this ancient creation has been lost in the mists of time.

Bath - Nestled in a sheltered valley, surrounded by wooded hills, and nourished by Britain's only natural hot springs. A walking city, Bath has a rich diversity of museums, galleries, gardens and attractions, including the Roman baths and 15th century Bath Abbey.

Stratford-Upon-Avon - Set in the rural Warwickshire countryside, William Shakespeare was born, loved and died in Stratford. Visit historic Shakespeare properties, Anne Hathaway's Cottage, and Holy Trinity Church where both are buried.

Thursday, Oct. 9: Day 5

Breakfast buffet

Take the Eurostar through the Chunnel into Paris

Ascend to the observation deck of the Eiffel Tower for spectacular views of Paris

Enjoy the City of Lights in the evening at your leisure

Friday, Oct. 10: Day 6

Breakfast buffet

Paris city tour with major highlights including the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame Cathedral, Champs-Elysses, and more

Tour the Montmartre district with a train ride through narrow lanes and by foot to absorb the abundant artist culture

Relax with a typical Parisian lunch of French onion soup and crepes

Saturday, Oct. 11: Day 7

Breakfast buffet

Enjoy a full day exploring Normandy, a site made famous by the D-Day invasion during World War II. Learn more about its historical significance with a visit to its landing beaches and visitor centers

Lunch on your own

Gather with the group to say "au revoir" to Paris with a farewell dinner at a local restaurant

Sunday, Oct. 12: Day 8

Transfer to Charles de Gaulle Airport

Plane arrives at Newark Liberty International Airport

Bus transportation to Misericordia's campus

$300 deposit due at booking

$3,092 due on Aug. 7

Discounts available:

5% for Journey's Club members (traveled with Globus, Cosmos, Monograms, or Avalon previously)

A discount also applies if travelers use frequent flyer miles for airfare

Out of pocket expenses:

Meals not covered (5 lunches, 4 dinners)

Daily tip for tour guide and motor coach driver (approximately 66 euros for the week - 42 euros for guide and 24 euros for drivers per person)
