Federal Work Study Program - Welcome to the Misericordia University Work Study Program, federally funded and managed by the Financial Aid Office in conjunction with the Insalaco Center for Career Development (ICCD). Misericordia University needs the support of student employees to help carry out the important mission of your special interest -pride in our campus as part of your education while learning important basic work skills, ethics, diversity, professionalism and teamwork. Knowledge you will use now in your everyday situations; and, as work experience or reference information for future career and employment opportunities. Work Study allows students to earn money to cover a portion of educational expenses by working on campus, earning minimum wage. EARNINGS ARE PAID DIRECTLY TO STUDENTS, NOT CREDITED TOWARD PAYING THE SEMESTER BILL.
Requirements & Eligibility - The Financial Aid Office determines the eligibility of students for the Work Study Program based on the information you have provided to them. Students who are eligible will be notified in their "Financial Aid Award Letter" packet prior to the upcoming school year. If a Work Study award appears on your award letter, it is simply an indication that you meet the financial criteria for participation in the program. IT IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF A JOB. Do not include this award on your tuition payment sheet.
Part-time Jobs - Some part-time employment is available in the community for students. Students who are interested in part-time employment opportunities should inquire at the Insalaco Center for Career Development.
