Trustees, University express gratitude by presenting special clock with inscription to Trustee Borton

Misericordia University and the Board of Trustees recently recognized the valued service and leadership Trustee Christopher L. Borton, P.E., provided when he chaired the Presidential Search Committee.

Mr. Borton is co-founder and CEO of Borton-Lawson of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and also serves Misericordia University as the vice chair of the Board of Trustees. He chaired the nationwide search for Misericordia University’s 13th president. The search culminated in November with the announcement that Thomas J. Botzman, Ph.D., had been named president-elect to succeed the retiring Michael A. MacDowell beginning July 1, 2013.

Misericordia University Board of Trustees Chairman John Metz presented Mr. Borton with a clock at the February Board of Trustees meeting that contains the following inscription: “In appreciation of your service and leadership in chairing the Presidential Search Committee at Misericordia University.’’
